It is a series of furniture inspired by the mystical instinct for survival, community cohesion and vividness of the Gipsy's of Hungary and Transylvania. We are transforming basic objects of disappearing traditions.
This products of the gipsy and folk culture of our region have become overlooked or in part needless but all have stories, souls and extincting crafts behind them. We wanted to to give them new lives in a contemporary design context keeping the narratives and its soul but translating them with modernist vocabulary. This creative process is part of the world's recycling movement though our starting point was less ecological than emotional. It echoes the needs of the big changes of the world now and the question of what is valuable of the time we are living in.
